The CDA Credential is a National Credential, that is awarded by the CDA Council of Professional Recognition in Washington DC. Our CDA training program meets the educational requirements to apply for a National Child Development Associate Credential (CDA).
The following information is from the CDA Council website (http://www.cdacouncil.org/component/content/article/13-general/365-training-and-firstaid-cpr-requirements )
"While formal education hours can be for credit or noncredit, they must be earned through an agency or organization with expertise in early childhood teacher preparation. The agency or organization must verify the Candidate's education in the form of an official transcript, certificate, or letter."
The CDA Council does not "approve or endorse" training for the CDA Credential. The CDA Council requires that CDA training is done through a professional training organization which has been approved as such through an appropriate entity.
