Description: (2 hours) Online Self-Paced – Open Enrollment * Play is a dynamic process that develops and changes as it becomes increasingly more varied and complex. It is considered a key facilitator for learning and development across domains, and reflects the social and cultural contexts in which children live. Infants and toddlers learn through all of their senses by touching, smelling, hearing, seeing and tasting the items in their environment. They gain valuable information about their world. This interaction with materials offers experience and knowledge upon which to build later experiences.

Reviews for this Online Course
- Playtime for Infants and toddlers Posted by Carol on 13th Dec 2015
I learned some things that will help me to help the infants and toddlers in their play. Not only do they need structure in their play, they need to have time for dreams. - I liked all the ideas Posted by Barbara on 13th Mar 2015
I liked all the ideas of what could be added to block play to enhance and give new life and ideas of how kids can use the blocks. - I enjoyed being able to read others comments Posted by Alexandra on 15th Jan 2015
I enjoyed being able to read others comments before I added my own. Personally, I work well when I have a variety of opinions and can view the thoughts of my peers. - Helpful ideas Posted by Laurice on 15th Jan 2015
There was a lot of helpful ideas that opened my learning for infants and toddlers. I was not so confident when I first started, but now that I finished, I am more confident in this course. A better knowledge on how to introduce children who are shy/quiet or how to teach an infant/toddler more about their surroundings through play.
