DCYF-approved STARS training through Successful Solutions Training in Child Development
Accepted by OSPI
Successful Solutions Training in Child Development offers DCYF-approved STARS training. STARS training hours are recognized by the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) as an acceptable equivalent to OSPI clock hours on a 1:1 basis.

How Training Is Reported
Educators should provide their STARS ID number when registering. Upon successful completion of training, Successful Solutions will report completed hours directly to MERIT. A certificate of completion is also provided to each participant; however, OSPI does not require a certificate when training has been properly recorded through MERIT.
Reporting In-Service Hours to OSPI
- ✓ Log in to your OSPI certification account.
- ✓ Select "STARS Hours" as the credit type.
- ✓ The system will automatically recognize the training as DCYF-approved and apply the appropriate credit.
