A vital way of becoming more effective as an educator, and in life, is by becoming more self-aware. If you can become aware of your self – your strengths and your weaknesses, you will have a better idea of the impact that you can impose, and how to change them, or whether you should.
Implementing the guidelines in this course is the first step in a continual process of deepening your awareness of yourself and the impact that you have on people and situations. Becoming more effective can only boost your rewards in both your professional and personal life. This course will also provide suggestions for supporting self-awareness in children and ideas to incorporate concepts in the classroom.
Implementing the guidelines in this course is the first step in a continual process of deepening your awareness of yourself and the impact that you have on people and situations. Becoming more effective can only boost your rewards in both your professional and personal life. This course will also provide suggestions for supporting self-awareness in children and ideas to incorporate concepts in the classroom.
This is a 10 clock-hour course that is presented in English. The training method is online and self-paced, with instructor engagement. The training platform is mobile friendly, and most students will find that it works successfully on cell phones and tablets.
The course will cover the following topics:
- What are the three aspects of your “self” and how are they interconnected? How can you assess your strengths and weaknesses in each aspect and set goals for improvement?
- What is scanning and how can it help you become more self-aware? How can you scan your physical, emotional, and spiritual self by using different methods, such as mindfulness, meditation, or journaling?
- What are the common sources of physical stress and how do they affect your health and functioning? How can you identify and reduce or eliminate physical stressors, such as poor diet, lack of sleep, or environmental toxins?
- How can exercise benefit your physical, emotional, and spiritual self? What are the best types and amounts of exercise for your needs and preferences? How can you incorporate exercise into your daily routine and make it fun and enjoyable?
- How can time management help you balance your physical, emotional, and spiritual self? What are the best tools and techniques for managing your time effectively and efficiently? How can you prioritize your tasks, set deadlines, and avoid procrastination and distractions?
- How can mood management help you regulate your emotions and cope with stress? What are the best ways to recognize and express your emotions in healthy and appropriate ways? How can you use positive psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, or emotional intelligence to improve your mood and well-being?
- How can interpersonal awareness help you communicate and collaborate better with others? What are the best ways to develop and maintain positive and supportive relationships with your colleagues, children, and families? How can you use empathy, active listening, feedback, and conflict resolution skills to enhance your interpersonal awareness and effectiveness?

- You have access to online courses for 1 year from the date of payment.
- For immediate access to courses at the time of payment, enroll at our sister site www.myececlass.com.
- When enrolling on our home page at www.cdastars.com, the information to access the online course will be sent to the email address provided during enrollment hours.
- New Enrollments Are Set-Up During the Following Times:

Holidays 9 am – 8 pm (PT) - Registrations that are submitted at www.cdastars.com after enrollment hours will be processed the next morning. You will receive an email with information to access the course.

- Internet access is required to complete our courses.
- Some students may find that they have to update their internet browser, this is most often the case when trying to use Internet Explorer. Our student support staff is happy to assist students with troubleshooting should you encounter technical issues, and will provide common suggestions for solving problems that occur when normal browser maintenance or application updates need to occur.
Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations and refunds requested within 72 hours after enrollment are available for courses/programs that have NOT been accessed.
- Refunds are not available after 72 hours from the date of payment.
- Refunds are not available for courses/programs that have been accessed.
- Once the student has logged in to the course, a refund is no longer available.
- Refunds and cancellations WILL be charged a 20% cancellation fee.
- After 72 hours from the time of purchase, the payment credit can be transferred to a different training or to a new student if the training was not started by the original student for up to 30 days after enrollment.
