A theme I have done in my classroom is ocean month where kids participate many fun filled educational activities such as in centers sensory I will have a bucket setup with water and I will put a bucket on the side of different type of animals and ask the kids what animals go in the ocean then they can place those animals in the water table and play with them.

What do y'all think I should do when I have a controlling big boss with 7 management people who are also my boss under her and they won't let you freely change the room, materials, lesson plans, or anything in the classroom?

Show them the studies and if they choose to not let up, find another job. I say that in a sense of it goes against the very thing we are trying to do for those children. Being a part of that isnt who we are as educators

What are some new technologies available out there for teaching reading to children with special needs?

There are tapes with audio books on them that would be a easy way to keep them focused on following along with the book and blocks out other noises which may become distracting.

Hello everyone, When I was doing the theme of planting, I was working Gardening activity with children outside at the playground,
We were using the planters, soil, water, seeds and shovels to do the planting activity.
